This bill would also require DSNY or the administering agency to establish and implement a program to reimburse owners of eligible buildings who purchased official NYC waste bins on or before June 1, 2027. Eligible buildings include those with 3 dwelling units where the building owner is enrolled in a New York STAR or Enhanced STAR tax benefit program. DSNY or the administering agency would be required to submit a report on the law’s implementation one month after the law’s expiration.
