This Act may be cited as the Veterans’ Transition to Trucking Act of 2025 .

Under current law, subparagraph (A) of section 3672(c)(1) of title 38 has a State approving agency handle that approval. This section would add an exception to that rule: the State approving agency would still handle approval except as provided in a new subparagraph (B). That new subparagraph (B) would let the Secretary of Veterans Affairs act in the role of a State approving agency for the specific purpose of approving a multi-State apprenticeship program, meaning a program that operates across more than one state. The section would also renumber the existing subparagraph (B) as subparagraph (C), with no change to what it says.

Section 3672(c)(1) of title 38, United States Code, is amended—
(1) by redesignating subparagraph (B) as subparagraph (C);
(2) in subparagraph (A), in the matter before clause (i), by striking The State and inserting Except as provided in subparagraph (B), the State ; and
(3) by inserting after subparagraph (A) the following new subparagraph (B):
(B) The Secretary may act in the role of a State approving agency for purposes of approval of a multi-State apprenticeship program.
