1. Short title This Act may be cited as Lulu’s Law .
2: Wireless emergency alerts
This section defines the term Alert Message as it is already defined in section 10.10(a) of title 47 of the Code of Federal Regulations, or in whatever regulation later replaces that one. This section would then require the Federal Communications Commission, not later than 180 days after this Act becomes law, to issue an order providing that a shark attack is an event for which an Alert Message may be transmitted. The order would make a shark attack one of the kinds of events for which such an alert is allowed to be sent; it would not by itself require that an alert be sent every time a shark attack occurs.

2. Wireless emergency alerts (a) Definition In this section, the term Alert Message has the meaning given the term in section 10.10(a) of title 47, Code of Federal Regulations, or any successor regulation. (b) Requirement Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Federal Communications Commission shall issue an order to provide that a shark attack is an event for which an Alert Message may be transmitted.
