What it does
Fit Future Act This bill provides statutory authority for the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, a federal advisory committee that provides recommendations on school-based physical education and promoting good nutrition and fitness. The council was most recently reestablished by Executive Order 14327 on July 31, 2025. Under the bill, the council must recommend fitness goals for youth; strategies for promoting school programs that reward excellence in physical education; and campaigns that elevate U.S. sports, military readiness, and health traditions.
