End Government Pensions for Sexual Abusers Act of 2026

The bill would end federal retirement pay for a current or former Member of Congress, or their survivor or beneficiary, if the Member is convicted of specified sex offenses, including certain foreign convictions, for conduct on or after enactment. A Member under indictment who knowingly stays outside the United States over a year to avoid prosecution would lose these payments. Any withheld money can go to a victim if a court orders restitution or garnishment enforcing a judgment against the individual for the offense, up to the amount forfeited.
