1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Rental Assistance Demonstration Conversion Continuity Act or the RAD Conversion Continuity Act .

2: Approvals related to rental assistance demonstration program

This section would apply to a public housing project under the rental assistance demonstration program that already had its housing plans approved under section 7 of the United States Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C. 1437e). Such a project could keep that prior approval after it converts to the rental assistance demonstration program, instead of having to seek new approval, and it could keep using that same approval process for any future approval it needs. A project that keeps its approval this way would still have to follow any terms or conditions that came with that approval. It would also have to go through the same process to get a certification that it originally used to become certified under section 9 of the United States Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C. 1437g). The section defines the rental assistance demonstration program as the program described under the heading "Rental Assistance Demonstration" in title II of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2012, which is division C of Public Law 112-55 (125 Stat. 673).
