Public Lands Military Readiness Act of 2025

This section would give the Act the short title 'Public Lands Military Readiness Act of 2025.'

This section would extend the withdrawal and reservation of federal land for military use at four military lands in three states: the Fort Greely and Fort Wainwright training ranges in Alaska, the McGregor Range at Fort Bliss in New Mexico, and the Fort Irwin military land in California. It would also correct the stated acreage for the McGregor Range military lands and the stated acreage and map references for the Fort Irwin military land. For the Fort Greely and Fort Wainwright training ranges in Alaska and the McGregor Range at Fort Bliss in New Mexico, the section would change the expiration date set in the Military Lands Withdrawal Act of 1999 from 25 years after November 6, 2001 to a fixed date of November 6, 2051, extending the military's reserved use of that land by 25 years. For the Fort Irwin military land in California, the section would change the expiration date set in the Fort Irwin Military Land Withdrawal Act of 2001 from 25 years after that Act's enactment to a fixed date of December 31, 2051, likewise extending the withdrawal. The section would also correct the acreage figure for the McGregor Range military lands in the Military Lands Withdrawal Act of 1999, changing the stated total from 608,385 acres to 605,401 acres. Finally, for the Fort Irwin military land, the section would change the stated acreage in the Fort Irwin Military Land Withdrawal Act of 2001 from 110,000 acres to 117,710 acres, and would replace the map that defines the land's boundaries: instead of the map titled 'National Training Center, Proposed Withdrawal of Public Lands for Training Purposes,' dated September 21, 2000, the boundaries would be defined by the map titled 'Fort Irwin Withdrawal,' dated February 28, 2025.
