1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Tailored Regulatory Updates for Supervisory Testing Act of 2025 or the TRUST Act of 2025 .

2: Modification of examination cycle thresholds for well-managed institutions

This section would amend Section 10(d) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act (12 U.S.C. 1820(d)) by replacing the dollar figure $3,000,000,000 with $6,000,000,000 in paragraph (4)(A), and by making the same replacement, $3,000,000,000 to $6,000,000,000, in paragraph (10). Section 10(d) sets the rules for how often a Federal banking agency must examine an insured depository institution, and it lets qualifying institutions be examined not less than once during each 18-month period instead of a shorter standard cycle. By raising the total-assets threshold used in these two paragraphs from $3 billion to $6 billion, this section would let insured depository institutions with under $6 billion in total assets qualify for the 18-month examination cycle, doubling the size of institution that can qualify compared to current law.
