Teaching Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander History Act

The bill would require federal American history and civics education programs, including school grants and Presidential and Congressional academies for teachers and students, to include the history of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders as part of their American history content. It would also add the Smithsonian's Asian Pacific American Center as a partner alongside National Parks, and require the National Assessment of Educational Progress's history framework to include this history too.
