1: National Volcano Early Warning and Monitoring System reauthorization

This section would amend section 5001(c) of the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act (43 U.S.C. 31k(c)), the law that authorizes funding for the National Volcano Early Warning and Monitoring System. In paragraph (1), it would replace the words "United States Geological Survey" with "Secretary" as the party named for that funding authorization, and it would extend the covered period from fiscal years 2019 through 2023 to fiscal years 2026 through 2030. In paragraph (2), it would replace the words "National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration" with "Secretary of Commerce" as the party named for that funding authorization, and it would extend the covered period from fiscal years 2023 through 2024 to fiscal years 2026 through 2030.
