2Revocation of public land order; Lands to be taken into trust
This section would revoke Public Land Order 3309 (Sacramento 071209), dated January 17, 1964 (29 Fed. Reg. 609), and would transfer jurisdiction over the land described in that order to the Secretary of the Interior. Not later than 180 days after enactment, and subject to valid existing rights, the Secretary would have to place two parcels of land into trust for the benefit of the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians, Shingle Springs Rancheria (Verona Tract), California: about 85.3 acres shown as "BLM Land - Proposed Transfer into Trust" on a Bureau of Land Management map dated February 25, 2025, and about 118.84 acres shown as "Indian Creek Ranch - Proposed Transfer into Trust Land Status" on that same map. The land placed into trust would become part of the Tribe's reservation and would be administered by the Secretary under the laws and regulations that generally apply to property the United States holds in trust for an Indian tribe. The land taken into trust could not be used for class II or class III gaming under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act.
