2: Inclusion of additional use of grant amounts

This section would amend Section 501 of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (34 U.S.C. 10152). It would add a new allowable use of Byrne-JAG grant funds to subsection (a)(1): installing panic buttons and surveillance equipment in a private business. It would also add a new paragraph (3) to subsection (b) of Section 501 covering private businesses classified under North American Industrial Classification Code 445131, with matching changes to the existing paragraphs (1) and (2) of that subsection so all three paragraphs are listed as alternatives.
