1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Tennessee Valley Authority Transparency Act of 2025 .
2: Transparency and availability of meetings
This section would replace the current text of Section 2(g)(2) of the Tennessee Valley Authority Act of 1933 with new meeting requirements for the Tennessee Valley Authority Board. The Board would have to meet at least 4 times each year. For any meeting of the Board, a committee of the Board, or a subcommittee of the Board for which a vote is not scheduled, the Board would have to: hold the meeting in public; give at least 6 calendar days of public notice of the meeting through the Board's website; and make the meeting's minutes and summaries publicly available. The 6-day public notice requirement would not apply to a meeting if the chairman of the Board designates that meeting as an emergency special meeting. That exception would apply only to the notice requirement; even a meeting designated as an emergency special meeting would still have to be held in public and have its minutes and summaries made publicly available.

2. Transparency and availability of meetings Section 2(g)(2) of the Tennessee Valley Authority Act of 1933 is amended to read as follows: (2) Meetings (A) In general The Board shall meet at least 4 times each year. (B) Transparency The Board shall, with respect to any meeting of the Board, a committee of the Board, or a subcommittee of the Board for which a vote is not scheduled— (i) hold such meeting in public; (ii) provide public notice of no fewer than 6 calendar days, through the website of the Board, of any such meeting; and (iii) make publicly available the minutes and summaries of any such meeting. (C) Emergency meetings Subparagraph (B)(ii) shall not apply if the chairman of the Board designates a meeting as an emergency special meeting. .
