What it does
Fayette County - Subject to local approval, requires the county clerk rather than the county court clerk to collect the county wheel tax and keep the administrative fee associated with the issuance of the motor vehicle license upon payment of the tax; rather than using the tax revenue to pay down debt from school construction projects, requires 100 percent of the tax collected, excluding fees, to be placed in the county general fund for general fund use or transfer to the county capital projects
