AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 8, Chapter 14 and Title 9, Chapter
4, relative to district public defenders.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 8, Chapter 14, Part 1, is amended by
adding the following language as a new section:
Effective July 1, 2025, there are created five (5) additional assistant district public
defender positions.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
