          AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 5 and Title 7, Chapter 84, Part 5,
relative to business improvement districts.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
          SECTION 1. This act is knowh and may be cited as "The Jeff Burkhart Act."
          SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 7-84-503(8), is amended by deleting
the subdivision and substituting instead:

                    (8) "Municipality" means any incorporated city, town, metropolitan government, or
          county of this state exercising general governmental functions in the state; and
          SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
