H8153 2026 -- H 8153 ======== LC005689 ======== STATE OF RHODE ISLAND IN GENERAL ASSEMBLY JANUARY SESSION, A.D. 2026 ____________ A N A C T RELATING TO TOWNS AND CITIES -- PAYMENTS TO FIRE COMPANIES Introduced By: Representatives Cotter, and Casimiro Date Introduced: February 27, 2026 Referred To: House Finance It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Chapter 45-18 of the General Laws entitled Payments to Fire Companies 2 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: 3 45-18-4. Payments to Exeter fire and rescue service. 4 The Exeter Volunteer Fire Department No. 1 and Exeter Volunteer Fire Company 2, as 5 well as services provided by the Exeter ambulance transport, EMT intermediate, and paramedic 6 care, shall be reimbursed by the state for seventy-five percent (75%) of the costs for any calls made 7 on state property. 8 SECTION 2.
