Carson Date Introduced: January 23, 2026 Referred To: House Municipal Government & Housing 1 RESOLVED, That the special House commission created by resolution No. 422 passed 2 by the House of Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2023, and approved June 14, 2023, 3 entitled HOUSE RESOLUTION CREATING A SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO 4 REVIEW AND PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR POLICIES THAT DEAL WITH 5 NUMEROUS ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL SHORT-TERM RENTALS ISSUES and as 6 extended and amended by Resolution No. 284 passed by the House of Representatives at its 7 January session, A.D. 2024, and approved May 15, 2024, entitled “HOUSE RESOLUTION 8 EXTENDING THE REPORTING AND EXPIRATIONS DATES AND AMENDING THE 9 PURPOSE OF THE SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO REVIEW AND PROVIDE 10 RECOMMENDATIONS FOR POLICIES THAT DEAL WITH NUMEROUS ECONOMIC 11 AND SOCIAL SHORT-TERM RENTALS ISSUES” is hereby reinstated and the same members 12 are hereby reappointed, and it is authorized to continue its study and make a report to the House 13 of Representatives on or before September 30, 2026, and said commission shall expire on January 14 10, 2027; and be it further 15 RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by resolution No. 284 passed by the 16 House of Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2024, and approved May 15, 2024, 1 be and the same is hereby rescinded. ======== LC003205 ======== LC003205 - Page 2 of 3 EXPLANATION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF H O U S E R E S O L U T I O N REINSTATING THE LIFE OF AND EXTENDING THE REPORTING AND EXPIRATION DATES OF THE SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO REVIEW AND PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR POLICIES THAT DEAL WITH NUMEROUS ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL SHORT-TERM RENTALS ISSUES *** 1 This resolution reinstates the life and extends the reporting date of the Special Legislative 2 Commission to Review and Provide Recommendations for Policies That Deal With Numerous 3 Economic and Social Short-Term Rentals Issues from September 30, 2025, to September 30, 4 2026, and said commission would expire on January 10, 2027. ======== LC003205 ======== LC003205 - Page 3 of 3
