Carson Date Introduced: January 23, 2026 Referred To: House Health & Human Services 1 RESOLVED, That the special House commission created by resolution No. 320 passed 2 by the House of Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2023, and approved May 11, 2023, 3 entitled “HOUSE RESOLUTION CREATING A SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO 4 STUDY AND PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS PERTAINING TO SERVICES AND 5 COORDINATION OF STATE PROGRAMS RELATING TO OLDER ADULT RHODE 6 ISLANDERS” and as extended and amended by Resolution No. 263 passed by the House of 7 Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2024, and approved May 7, 2024, entitled “HOUSE 8 RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE REPORTING AND EXPIRATIONS DATES AND 9 AMENDING THE MEMBERSHIP, FINDINGS, AND PURPOSE OF THE SPECIAL 10 LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO STUDY AND PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS 11 PERTAINING TO SERVICES AND COORDINATION OF STATE PROGRAMS RELATING 12 TO OLDER ADULT RHODE ISLANDERS” is hereby authorized to continue its study and make 13 a report to the House of Representatives on or before November 30, 2026, and said commission 14 shall expire on January 31, 2027; and be it further 1 RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by resolution No. 263 passed by the 2 House of Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2024, and approved May 7, 2024, be and 3 the same is hereby rescinded. ======== LC003206 ======== LC003206 - Page 2 of 3 EXPLANATION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF H O U S E R E S O L U T I O N EXTENDING THE REPORTING AND EXPIRATIONS DATES OF THE SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO STUDY AND PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS PERTAINING TO SERVICES AND COORDINATION OF STATE PROGRAMS RELATING TO OLDER ADULT RHODE ISLANDERS *** 1 This resolution would extend the reporting and expiration dates of the Special Legislative 2 Commission to Study And Provide Recommendations Pertaining To Services And Coordination 3 Of State Programs Relating To Older Adult Rhode Islanders from November 30, 2025, to 4 November 30, 2026, and said commission would expire on January 31, 2027. ======== LC003206 ======== LC003206 - Page 3 of 3
