H7120 2026 -- H 7120 ======== LC003753 ======== STATE OF RHODE ISLAND IN GENERAL ASSEMBLY JANUARY SESSION, A.D. 2026 ____________ A N A C T RELATING TO PUBLIC UTILITIES AND CARRIERS -- BROADBAND DEPLOYMENT AND INVESTMENT ACT Introduced By: Representatives J. Lombardi, Hull, and Stewart Date Introduced: January 15, 2026 Referred To: House Innovation, Internet, & Technology It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Chapter 39-28 of the General Laws entitled Broadband Deployment and 2 Investment Act is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: 3 39-28-8. Broadband community outreach coordinator -- Affordable connectivity 4 program. 5 There is hereby established, within the division of public utilities, a broadband community 6 outreach coordinator to assist state residents interested in learning more and/or applying for, the 7 federal Affordable Connectivity Program. 8 SECTION 2.
