H7011 2026 -- H 7011 ======== LC003149 ======== STATE OF RHODE ISLAND IN GENERAL ASSEMBLY JANUARY SESSION, A.D. 2026 ____________ J O I N T R E S O L U T I O N MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE RHODE ISLAND AUDITORY ORAL PROGRAM Introduced By: Representatives McNamara, Handy, and Fascia Date Introduced: January 07, 2026 Referred To: House Finance 1 RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated to the RHODE ISLAND AUDITORY 2 ORAL PROGRAM (hereinafter the “Program”), which is a statewide educational program 3 currently housed within the Foster School Department, the sum of one million, one hundred sixty- 4 seven thousand, one hundred dollars ($1,167,100), out of any monies in the treasury not 5 otherwise appropriated for fiscal year 2026-2027, to support the Program’s mission to provide 6 specialized auditory-oral programming for children with hearing loss who benefit from hearing 7 technology and to provide these children with tools necessary for successful inclusion and 8 achievement; and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw orders upon the 9 general treasurer for the payment of said sum, or so much thereof as may be from time to time 10 required, upon receipt of properly authenticated vouchers. ======== LC003149 ======== EXPLANATION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF J O I N T R E S O L U T I O N MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE RHODE ISLAND AUDITORY ORAL PROGRAM *** 1 This joint resolution would authorize the appropriation of the sum of one million, one 2 hundred sixty-seven thousand, one hundred dollars ($1,167,100), to the Rhode Island Auditory 3 Oral Program, to support the program’s mission to provide specialized auditory-oral 4 programming for children with hearing loss. ======== LC003149 ======== LC003149 - Page 2 of 2
