7 An Act relating to county sheriffs; authorizing
7 county sheriffs to work in tandem with certain
8 federal agencies; providing for codification; and
8 providing an effective date.

11 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

12 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
12
13 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 509 of Title 19, unless there is
13
14 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
14
15 Any county sheriff is authorized to work in conjunction with the
15
16 United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the United
16
17 States Customs and Border Protection to detain undocumented
17
18 immigrants.

19 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
