7   An Act relating to legislative ethics training;

7   requiring certain amount of training for legislators;

8   requiring reporting to and enforcement by the

8   President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker

9   of the House of Representatives; providing for

9   noncodification; and providing an effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13  SECTION 1.    NEW LAW  A new section of law not to be

13

14 codified in the Oklahoma Statutes reads as follows:
14

15  Each chamber of the Legislature shall require, every two (2)

15

16 years, four (4) hours total of mandatory training sessions for its
16

17 members, which shall be presented by the Ethics Commission and shall
17

18 emphasize the rules of the Ethics Commission. A form issued by the
18

19 Ethics Commission to each member shall be signed and returned by the
19

20 member to the member's chamber of the Legislature attesting to the
20

21 completion of the training. The members of the Senate shall report
21

22 to the President Pro Tempore of the Senate. The members of the
22

23 House of Representatives shall report to the Speaker of the House of
23

24 Representatives. The monitoring and enforcement of this provision

1 shall be determined by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and

2 the Speaker of the House of Representatives for their respective
2

3 delegations.

4   SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
