6 An Act relating to the Massage Therapy Practice Act;
6 amending 59 O.S. 2021, Section 4200.10, which relates
7 to preemption; updating statutory language; providing
7 exceptions for certain preemption; and providing an
8 effective date.

10 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

11 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 4200.10, is
11
12 amended to read as follows:

13 Section 4200.10. A. The Massage Therapy Practice Act shall
13
14 supersede all ordinances or regulations regulating massage
14
15 therapists in any city, county, or political subdivision of this
15
16 state.
16
17 B. This section shall not affect the regulations of a city,
17
18 county, or a political subdivision of this state relating to zoning
18
19 requirements or occupational license fees pertaining to health care
19
20 professions.
20
21 C. This section shall not affect the regulations of a city,
21
22 county, or a political subdivision of this state relating to zoning
22
23 or licensing requirements for business locations offering massage
23
24 therapy.

1 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
