6 An Act relating to assault and battery; creating
6 certain misdemeanor offense; providing penalties;
7 providing for codification; and providing an
7 effective date.

10 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

11 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
11
12 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 650.12 of Title 21, unless there
12
13 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
13
14 Any person who, without justifiable or excusable cause and with
14
15 intent to do bodily harm, commits any assault, battery, or assault
15
16 and battery upon the person of a railroad or railway worker or any
16
17 personnel having authority in connection with the railroads and
17
18 railways of this state is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by
18
19 imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding one (1) year, by a
19
20 fine not exceeding One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), or by both such
20
21 imprisonment and fine.

22 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
