7   An Act relating to public health; prohibiting public

7   entities and contractors from requiring COVID-19

8   vaccinations or discriminating due to vaccination

8   status; defining term; providing for codification;

9   and declaring an emergency.

1 2 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13  SECTION 1.     NEW LAW  A new section of law to be codified

13

1 4 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-502.5 of Title 63, unless

14

1 5 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

15

16  A. It shall be unlawful for any federal or state agency, any

16

1 7 political subdivision, or any business under contract with a federal

17

1 8 or state agency or political subdivision to require any resident of

18

1 9 this state to submit to or receive a COVID-19 vaccination or any

19

2 0 variant thereof. Additionally, no federal or state agency,

20

2 1 political subdivision, or business under contract with a federal or

21

2 2 state agency or political subdivision shall discriminate against any

22

2 3 resident of this state due to vaccination status.

24  B. As used in this section, "political subdivision" means:

1   1. A municipality or county;

1

2   2. A school district board of education;

2

3   3. The board of regents or board of trustees of a state

3

4 educational institution which is a member of The Oklahoma State

4

5 System of Higher Education; or

5

6   4. Any other governmental or public entity located within this

6

7 state.

8   SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation

8

9 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby

9

1 0 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and

10

1 1 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
