7 An Act relating to property; amending 60 O.S. 2021,
7 Section 333, which relates to title by prescription;
8 prohibiting title by prescription under specified
8 circumstances; and providing an effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 60 O.S. 2021, Section 333, is
13
14 amended to read as follows:

15 Section 333. A. Occupancy for the period prescribed by civil
15
16 procedure, or any law of this state as sufficient to bar an action
16
17 for the recovery of the property, confers a title thereto,
17
18 denominated a title by prescription, which is sufficient against
18
19 all.
19
20 B. In any action to establish title to land, no possession of
20
21 such land shall be deemed adverse to the owner in such manner as to
21
22 establish title or rights in and to such land if the owner has paid
22
23 and discharged all taxes and assessments due on the land during the
23
24 period the adverse possessor claims to have possessed the land.

1 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
