7   An Act relating to schools; requiring certain schools

7   to make menstrual products available in certain

8   restrooms; defining term; providing for codification;

8   providing an effective date; and declaring an

9   emergency.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13  SECTION 1.       NEW LAW  A new section of law to be codified

13

14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-126 of Title 70, unless there
14

15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
15

16  A. Each school district and public charter school in this state

16

17 shall make menstrual products available, at no cost, in school
17

18 restrooms designated for use by females and single-occupancy
18

19 restrooms.
19

20  B. For the purposes of this section, "menstrual products" means

20

21 tampons and sanitary napkins for use in connection with the
21

22 menstrual cycle.

23  SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2025.

1   SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation

2 of the public peace, health, or safety, an emergency is hereby
2

3 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
3

4 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
