7 An Act relating to voter registration; amending 26
7 O.S. 2021, Section 4-109, which relates to locations
8 for applications; modifying preferential locations
8 where applications will be available; and providing
9 an effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 26 O.S. 2021, Section 4-109, is
13
14 amended to read as follows:
14
15 Section 4-109. The Secretary of the State Election Board shall
15
16 designate locations where voter registration applications will be
16
17 available for distribution. The secretary of each county election
17
18 board may, with approval of the Secretary of the State Election
18
19 Board, designate additional locations where voter registration
19
20 applications will be available for distribution. Preference shall
20
21 be given to public libraries, public buildings, grocery stores,
21
22 popular private businesses, and other locations where large numbers
22
23 of potential voters may be located. Particular emphasis shall be

1 placed on making voter registration applications available for

2 organized voter registration programs.

3 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
