6 An Act relating to game and fish; amending 29 O.S.
6 2021, Section 3-104, which relates to the Director of
7 Wildlife Conservation; removing the ability to remove
7 Commissioner; modifying statutory language; making
8 language gender neutral; and providing an effective
8 date.

11 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

12 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 29 O.S. 2021, Section 3-104, is
12
13 amended to read as follows:
13
14 Section 3-104. There is hereby created the office of Director
14
15 of Wildlife Conservation, under Section 3, Article XXVI of the
15
16 Oklahoma Constitution of the State of Oklahoma, to be appointed by a
16
17 majority vote of the entire Commission, who shall be removed only
17
18 for cause and after public hearing by the Commission serve at the
18
19 pleasure of the Commission. His or her duties and compensation for
19
20 his or her services shall be fixed by a majority vote of the entire
20
21 Commission.

22 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
