7   An Act relating to municipalities; subjecting

7   campsites on municipal land to certain review by the

8   Department of Environmental Quality and the

8   Department of Public Safety; providing for the

9   promulgation of rules; providing for codification;

9   and providing an effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13  SECTION 1.       NEW LAW  A new section of law to be codified

13

14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 43-117 of Title 11, unless there
14

15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
15

16  A. Any campsite on land within a municipality shall be subject

16

17 to evaluation by the Department of Environmental Quality and the
17

18 Department of Public Safety if such campsite has been utilized by
18

19 ten or more individuals for more than five (5) days. Such
19

20 evaluation shall be based on basic environmental and sanitation
20

21 standards.

22  B. The Department of Environmental Quality and the Department

22

23 of Public Safety shall promulgate rules to effectuate the provisions
23

24 of this section.

1   SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
