7 An Act relating to foster care; defining term;
7 requiring the Department of Human Services to provide
8 certain data to resource family partners; describing
8 data; providing for codification; and providing an
9 effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
13
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-9-127 of Title 10A, unless
14
15 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

16 A. As used in this section, "resource family partner" means a
16
17 private, child-placing agency under contract with the Department of
17
18 Human Services to recruit, retain, and support foster homes to meet
18
19 the child's needs through service coordination and delivery in
19
20 conjunction with the Department.
20
21 B. For the purpose of aiding resource family partners in
21
22 improving outcomes for foster children and parents and identifying
22
23 areas of need within the foster care system, the Department of Human

1 Services shall provide foster care data to resource family partners

2 as described in this section at regular monthly intervals.

3 C. The foster care data provided to resource family partners
3
4 shall be up-to-date, aggregated, and de-identified. The data shall
4
5 include, at a minimum:
5
6 1. The number of children without placement each day, including
6
7 demographic and geographic data;
7
8 2. Demographic and geographic data of foster parents and
8
9 children;
9
10 3. Geographic areas where there is a high need for, but low
10
11 availability of, placements;
11
12 4. Geographic areas experiencing a high number of disruptions
12
13 in placement;
13
14 5. The number of sibling groups that are separated in different
14
15 placements;
15
16 6. The number of foster children that are in placements a long
16
17 distance from their home community; and
17
18 7. Any relevant measures, outcomes, or other evaluation data
18
19 related to the foster care system maintained by the Department.

20 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
