7 An Act relating to the Oklahoma Security Guard and
7 Private Investigator Act; authorizing certain uniform
8 use; providing for codification; and providing an
8 effective date.

11 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

12 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
12
13 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1750.15 of Title 59, unless
13
14 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

15 A. A person licensed as a security guard pursuant to the
15
16 Oklahoma Security Guard and Private Investigator Act or as a police
16
17 or peace officer by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and
17
18 Training who provides volunteer security services at an established
18
19 place of worship may, with the consent of the employing agency, wear
19
20 the employing agency's uniform in the performance of such volunteer
20
21 security services.

22 B. A person who provides volunteer security services at an
22
23 established place of worship who is not licensed as a security guard
23
24 or police or peace officer pursuant to subsection A of this section

1 shall not wear a uniform or badge that gives the person the

2 appearance of being a licensed security guard or police or peace
2
3 officer.

4 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
