6   An Act relating to public assistance programs;

6   requiring the Department of Human Services to opt

7   into and administer the Summer Electronic Benefits

7   Transfer (Summer EBT) program; prescribing additional

8   duties; providing for codification; and providing an

8   effective date.

11 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

12  SECTION 1.     NEW LAW  A new section of law to be codified

12

13 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 241.5 of Title 56, unless there
13

14 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

15  Beginning with the 2026 program year, the Department of Human

15

16 Services shall opt into and administer the Summer Electronic
16

17 Benefits Transfer (Summer EBT) program created under the federal
17

18 Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023. The Department shall submit
18

19 the necessary documents and fulfill any federal requirements
19

20 necessary to participate in the Summer EBT program beginning with
20

21 the 2026 program year.

22  SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
