7 An Act relating to state government; amending 74 O.S.
7 2021, Section 452.5, which relates to assistance and
8 cooperation of state entities; requiring inclusion of
8 certain statement with proposed legislation;
9 providing certain exception; and providing an
9 effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 74 O.S. 2021, Section 452.5, is
13
14 amended to read as follows:
14
15 Section 452.5. A. The officials and employees of all entities
15
16 of the state are hereby directed to aid, assist, and cooperate fully
16
17 with the Legislative Service Bureau in its performance of all audits
17
18 and other functions.

19 B. 1. All proposed legislation requested by an agency of this
19
20 state shall include an agency request statement. Such statement
20
21 shall include:
21
22 a. the name of the agency requesting the proposed
22
23 legislation,

1 b. the name of the primary contact person for the agency,

2 and
2
3 c. a brief description of the agency's need for such
3
4 legislation.

5 2. No such statement shall be required for proposed legislation
5
6 that is not requested by a state agency or an employee, lobbyist, or
6
7 representative of a state agency.

8 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
