7   An Act relating to education; directing public school

7   districts, certain institutions of higher education,

8   and technology center school districts to adopt

8   certain employment policy; providing for promulgation

9   of rules; providing for codification; providing an

9   effective date; and declaring an emergency.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13  SECTION 1.      NEW LAW  A new section of law to be codified

13

14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1800 of Title 70, unless there
14

15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
15

16  A. Each public school district, institution of higher education

16

17 within The Oklahoma State System of Higher Education, and technology
17

18 center school district shall adopt an employment policy that
18

19 requires individuals employed on the effective date of this act and
19

20 any individual hired on and after the effective date of this act to
20

21 sign an attestation acknowledging that the employee recognizes the
21

22 difference between male and female, as defined in Section 16 of
22

23 Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

1   B. The State Board of Education, the Oklahoma State Regents for

2 Higher Education, and the State Board of Career and Technology
2

3 Education may promulgate rules to implement the provisions of this
3

4 section.
4

5   SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2026.

5

6   SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation

6

7 of the public peace, health, or safety, an emergency is hereby
7

8 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
8

9 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
