7 An Act relating to schools; prohibiting the embedding
7 of social workers in certain districts and schools;
8 directing removal of social workers in certain sites
8 on certain date; providing for codification;
9 providing an effective date; and declaring an
9 emergency.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
13
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 24-166 of Title 70, unless there
14
15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

16 The Department of Human Services shall be prohibited from
16
17 embedding social workers in public school districts or public
17
18 charter schools in this state. Any social workers placed in public
18
19 school or charter school sites in this state on the effective date
19
20 of this act shall be removed.
20
21 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2026.
21
22 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
22
23 of the public peace, health, or safety, an emergency is hereby
23

1 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and

2 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
