7 An Act relating to higher education; requiring
7 certain institutions of higher education to publish
8 certain student information on their websites
8 annually by certain date; requiring published
9 information to comply with certain act; providing for
9 codification; providing an effective date; and
10 declaring an emergency.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

14 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
14
15 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3234 of Title 70, unless there
15
16 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

17 A. Each institution of higher education within The Oklahoma
17
18 State System of Higher Education shall publish on its website by
18
19 December 30, 2026, and by each December 30 thereafter, the number of
19
20 students from foreign countries and territories enrolled in the
20
21 institution, the foreign country or territory of origin for such
21
22 students, and the percentage of total enrollment comprised of
22
23 students from foreign countries and territories.

1 B. The information published pursuant to subsection A of this

2 section shall comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy
2
3 Act of 1974 (FERPA).
3
4 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2026.
4
5 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
5
6 of the public peace, health, or safety, an emergency is hereby
6
7 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
7
8 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
