7 An Act relating to motor vehicles; requiring certain
7 distribution of grant or scholarship to be made in
8 certain proportion; providing for codification;
8 providing an effective date; and declaring an
9 emergency.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
13
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 809 of Title 47, unless there is
14
15 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
15
16 Any grant or scholarship to assist with the cost of a course of
16
17 instruction at a commercial driver training school from either this
17
18 state or the federal government shall be distributed without
18
19 preference to students of all such schools, whether public or
19
20 private, in proportion to the percentage of openings for students
20
21 offered by each such school in comparison with the total prospective
21
22 student population for such course of instruction in this state.

23 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2026.

1 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation

2 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
2
3 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
3
4 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
