7 An Act relating to tourism; amending 74 O.S. 2021,
7 Section 2232, which relates to the annual statewide
8 tourism and recreation industry conference;
8 clarifying statutory references; allowing the
9 Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department to enter
9 into certain contracts and agreements; establishing
10 certain conditions for contracts and agreements; and
10 providing an effective date.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

14 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 74 O.S. 2021, Section 2232, is
14
15 amended to read as follows:
15
16 Section 2232. The Commission, through the Oklahoma Tourism and
16
17 Recreation Department, may sponsor, promote, and implement an annual
17
18 statewide tourism and recreation industry conference to promote the
18
19 tourism and recreation industry. The Department is authorized to
19
20 may partner with private entities for the administration and
20
21 execution of the conference. The Department may enter into
21
22 contracts or agreements pursuant to this section on a fair and
22
23 reasonable basis in compliance with paragraph 10 of subsection C of
23
24 Section 85.5 of this title in an amount not to exceed Seventy-five

1 Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00). The Department is hereby authorized
1
2 to may charge registration and exhibit space fees necessary to cover
2
3 the costs of the conference and shall deposit the fees plus any
3
4 other conference proceeds, including donated funds, into an agency
4
5 special account to be created by the Special Agency Account Board.
5
6 Expenditure of monies from the agency special account shall be for
6
7 purposes incidental to the tourism and recreation industry
7
8 conference, and shall be approved by the Commission Executive
8
9 Director.

10 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
