7 An Act relating to schools; requiring public school
7 districts to post on their websites certain
8 information about board of education members, the
8 school district superintendent, and board of
9 education elections; providing for codification;
9 providing an effective date; and declaring an
10 emergency.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

14 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
14
15 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 5-107C of Title 70, unless there
15
16 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

17 Each public school district in this state shall post within one
17
18 click of the home page of the school district's website the
18
19 following information:
19
20 1. The name, picture, email address, phone number, mailing
20
21 address, and a short biography for each member of the school
21
22 district's board of education. The biography shall include the date
22
23 the member was elected to office and the date his or her term of
23
24 office expires;

1 2. The name, picture, email address, phone number, mailing

2 address, and a short biography for the school district
2
3 superintendent; and
3
4 3. The date of the next election for school district board of
4
5 education members, information on how to become a candidate, and a
5
6 map of each board district within the school district.

7 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2026.
7
8 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
8
9 of the public peace, health, or safety, an emergency is hereby
9
10 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
10
11 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
