8 An Act relating to hospitals; requiring hospitals to
8 offer influenza vaccine to certain patients under
9 specified conditions; providing for codification; and
9 providing an effective date.

15 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

16 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
16
17 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-706.30 of Title 63, unless
17
18 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

19 Each year from October 1 through March 1 of the following year,
19
20 and in accordance with the latest recommendations of the Advisory
20
21 Committee on Immunization Practices of the Centers for Disease
21
22 Control and Prevention, each hospital shall offer, prior to
22
23 discharge, vaccinations against influenza virus to all inpatients
23

1 sixty-five (65) years of age or older, unless contraindicated, and

2 contingent upon the availability of the vaccine.

3 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective October 1, 2026.
