7 An Act relating to the Department of Corrections;
7 requiring certain accommodations for certain inmates;
8 requiring promulgation of rules; providing for
8 codification; and providing an effective date.

11 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

12 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
12
13 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 4.3 of Title 57, unless there is
13
14 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
14
15 A. Any facility administered by the Department of Corrections
15
16 shall provide clean and safe accommodations for the pumping,
16
17 storage, and delivery of breast milk for inmates who are lactating.
17
18 Such accommodations shall include, but not be limited to:
18
19 1. Equipment with which to pump breastmilk;
19
20 2. Breastmilk storage bags;
20
21 3. Refrigeration or freezing of breastmilk; and
21
22 4. Safe handling of the breastmilk from the facility to an
22
23 individual designated by the inmate to collect the breastmilk.

1 B. The Department of Corrections shall promulgate rules to

2 administer the provisions of this section.

3 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
