6 An Act relating to the Department of Mental Health
6 and Substance Abuse Services; making an
7 appropriation; stating purpose; providing an
7 effective date; and declaring an emergency.

10 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

11 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Department of
11
12 Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services from any monies not
12
13 otherwise appropriated from the General Revenue Fund of the State
13
14 Treasury for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, the sum of Five
14
15 Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,700,000.00) or so much
15
16 thereof as may be necessary to provide funding to sustain and expand
16
17 operations of a 9-8-8 suicide and crisis hotline in this state.

18 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2026.
18
19 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
19
20 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
20
21 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
21
22 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
