7 An Act relating to the Pardon and Parole Board;
7 amending 57 O.S. 2021, Section 332.4, which relates
8 to compensation and expenses; increasing Pardon and
8 Parole Board member compensation; updating statutory
9 language; and providing an effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 57 O.S. 2021, Section 332.4, is
13
14 amended to read as follows:
14
15 Section 332.4. A. The Chair of the Pardon and Parole Board
15
16 shall be selected by the Board. The Chair of the Pardon and Parole
16
17 Board shall receive Twenty-four Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars
17
18 ($24,800.00) Forty-six Thousand Dollars ($46,000.00) per annum,
18
19 payable monthly, in the following allotment:
19
20 1. Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00)
20
21 for preparation for said such meeting; and
21
22 2. One Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-seven Dollars ($1,667.00)

23 Three Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-three Dollars and thirty-three
23
24 cents ($3,233.33) for the regular monthly Board meeting.

1 B. The members of the Board shall receive Twenty-two Thousand

2 Eight Hundred Dollars ($22,800.00) Forty-two Thousand Dollars
2
3 ($42,000.00) per annum, payable monthly in the following allotment:

4 1. Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00)
4
5 for preparation for said such meeting; and
5
6 2. One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) Two Thousand
6
7 Nine Hundred Dollars ($2,900.00) for the regular monthly Board
7
8 meeting.

9 C. 1. Failure of any member to attend one Board meeting in any
9
10 calendar year, except for justifiable excuse as determined by the
10
11 Chair pursuant to written policy established by the Board, shall
11
12 preclude the right of the member to receive his or her monthly
12
13 compensation established by subsection A or B of this section.
13
14 2. In addition, any member who fails to attend two or more
14
15 Board meetings in any calendar year except for extraordinary
15
16 circumstances as determined by the Chair pursuant to written policy
16
17 established by the Board shall be deemed to have committed official
17
18 misconduct as such term is defined by Section 93 of Title 51 of the
18
19 Oklahoma Statutes. To initiate a removal from office pursuant to
19
20 this paragraph, the Board shall pass a resolution by a majority of
20
21 the members of the Board detailing the alleged misconduct. Such
21
22 removal shall be subject to the provisions of Chapter 3 of Title 51
22
23 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

1 3. Failure to attend meetings of the Board, pursuant to the

2 policy established by the Board, shall constitute cause for removal
2
3 pursuant to Section 10 of Article VI of the Oklahoma Constitution.

4 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
