8 An Act relating to state government; creating the
8 Oklahoma State Agency, Board, and Commission Review
9 Task Force; designating membership of task force;
9 requiring task force to perform certain duties;
10 providing for the electronic submission of certain
10 report; providing for certain reimbursement of
11 members of task force; providing for codification;
11 and declaring an emergency.

1 5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

16 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
16
1 7 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 8131 of Title 74, unless there
17
1 8 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
18
19 A. There is hereby created the Oklahoma State Agency, Board,
19
2 0 and Commission Review Task Force.

21 B. The task force shall consist of nine (9) members, three of
21
2 2 whom shall be appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate,
22
2 3 three of whom shall be appointed by the Speaker of the House of

1 Representatives, and three of whom shall be appointed by the

2 Governor.

3 C. The President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of
3
4 the House of Representatives shall designate co-chairs for the task
4
5 force from among their respective appointees.
5
6 D. Meetings shall be held at the call of the co-chairs. The
6
7 task force shall meet at such time as established by the co-chairs.

8 E. The task force shall:

9 1. Review the efficiency, effectiveness, and necessity of all
9
1 0 state agencies, boards, and commissions of this state; and
10
11 2. Provide recommendations to the Legislature for the
11
1 2 elimination, consolidation, or alteration of the duties of state
12
1 3 agencies, boards, and commissions of this state.
13
14 F. Any reports or recommendations of the task force shall be
14
1 5 electronically submitted to the President Pro Tempore of the Senate,
15
1 6 the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the Governor, on or
16
1 7 before January 31, 2027, and annually thereafter.
17
18 G. Staffing for the task force shall be provided jointly by the
18
1 9 staff of the Senate and the House of Representatives.
19
20 H. Members of the task force shall serve without compensation
20
2 1 but may be reimbursed by the appointed authority for necessary
21
2 2 travel pursuant to the State Travel Reimbursement Act.
22
23 SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
23
2 4 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby

1 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
1
2 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
