7   An Act relating to peace officers; prohibiting

7   masking of identity during execution of warrant;

8   requiring certain court order; clarifying scope;

8   providing for codification; and providing an

9   effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13  SECTION 1.      NEW LAW  A new section of law to be codified

13

14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 211.2 of Title 22, unless there
14

15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
15

16  A. Any peace officer of this state shall not mask his or her

16

17 identity with the use of any head or face covering while executing a
17

18 warrant without first obtaining a court order stating it is
18

19 permissible to mask the identity of the peace officer. The peace
19

20 officer shall obtain a separate court order for each warrant
20

21 execution in which the peace officer desires to mask his or her
21

22 identity.

1   B. For the purposes of this section, a head or face covering

2 shall not include protective equipment including, but not limited
2

3 to, face shields or helmets.

4   SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
