7 An Act relating to the Oklahoma Police Pension and
7 Retirement System; providing for benefits increase
8 subject to certain exception; and providing for
8 codification.

11 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

12 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
12
13 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 50-136.10 of Title 11, unless
13
14 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

15 A. Except as provided in subsection B of this section, any
15
16 person receiving benefits from the Oklahoma Police Pension and
16
17 Retirement System as of June 30, 2025, and who continues to receive
17
18 benefits on or after the effective date of this act, shall receive a
18
19 five percent (5%) increase in benefits.
19
20 B. For any member of the System who joined prior to January 1,
20
21 1981, who shall have his or her pension increased or decreased by
21
22 one-third (1/3) of any increase or decrease to the base salary of a
22
23 regular police officer, any increase in benefits a person is

1 eligible to receive after July 1, 2020, shall be offset by the

2 increase in benefits, if any, provided by this section.
