6   An Act relating to definitions and general

6   provisions; amending 25 O.S. 2021, Section 82.2,

7   which relates to additional state holidays;

7   establishing President Donald J. Trump Day; updating

8   statutory language; and providing an effective date.

10 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

11  SECTION 1.      AMENDATORY  25 O.S. 2021, Section 82.2, is

11

12 amended to read as follows:
12

13  Section 82.2. The following additional days are designated as

13

14 holidays:
14

15  Jefferson Day on the 13th day of April; Oklahoma Day on the 22nd

15

16 day of April; Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May; Juneteenth
16

17 National Freedom Day on the third Saturday in June; Indian Day on
17

18 the first Saturday after the full moon in September; Cherokee Strip
18

19 Day on the 16th day of September; Will Rogers Day on the 4th day of
19

20 November; President Donald J. Trump Day on the 5th day of November;
20

21 Citizenship Recognition Day on such date as may be fixed by the
21

22 Governor; Oklahoma Historical Day on the 10th day of October; Senior
22

23 Citizens' Week beginning with the first Sunday in the month of May;
23

24 Senior Citizens' Day the Wednesday of Senior Citizens' Week;

1 Grandparents' Week beginning with the second Sunday in September;

2 Youth Day on the third Sunday in March each year; each day in which
2

3 a state election is held throughout the State of Oklahoma this
3

4 state; and such other days as may be designated by the President of
4

5 the United States or the Governor of the State of Oklahoma.
5

6 Notwithstanding the day designated for Veterans' Day by Section 82.1
6

7 of this title, any bank, savings, and loan association or credit
7

8 union may observe the fourth Monday in October as Veterans' Day.
8

9 Any act authorized, required, or permitted to be performed on any
9

10 holiday as designated in this section may and shall be performed on
10

11 said that day the same as on any business day; provided, any state,
11

12 national, or federal reserve bank, building and loan association,
12

13 credit union, state, federal, county, or municipal office may close
13

14 on any day designated in this section as a holiday, and, upon such
14

15 bank, building and loan association, credit union, or public office
15

16 being closed on such day, any act authorized, required, or permitted
16

17 to be performed at or by such bank, building and loan association,
17

18 credit union, public office, or public official may be performed on
18

19 the next succeeding business day and no liability or loss of rights
19

20 of any kind shall result from such delay.

21  SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
