7 An Act relating to initiative and referendum;
7 amending 34 O.S. 2021, Section 2.1, which relates to
8 promulgation of rules; specifying subject of rules to
8 be promulgated by Secretary of State; and declaring
9 an emergency.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 34 O.S. 2021, Section 2.1, is
13
14 amended to read as follows:
14
15 Section 2.1. The Secretary of State may promulgate rules to
15
16 carry out the provisions of this title including, but not limited
16
17 to, establishing qualifications for persons authorized to circulate
17
18 and secure signatures.

19 SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
19
20 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
20
21 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
21
22 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
